VH1s Divas, Men Get a Sales Boost

New York-Record sales for the male and female artists who headlined the VH1 specials Men Strike Back and VH1 Divas 2000: A Tribute to Diana Ross have soared since the shows aired recently on the network.

For example, sales for the performers at Men Strike Back-including Sting, Backstreet Boys, D'Angelo, Enrique Iglesias, Christina Aguilera and Sisqo-increased from 14 to 71 percent in the week ended April 23, compared to the preceding week. Men Strike Back debuted April 18.

To date, the multiple airings of the two specials have attracted 36.4 million viewers.

VH1 recently crossed the 70-million-subscriber mark.
