USA to Resurrect Frankenstein

USA Network will breathe new life into the Frankenstein legend with a new, scripted series that could bow in the third quarter.

Martin Scorsese(Gangs of New York, Goodfellas, Raging Bull, Taxi Driver) and Tony Krantz’s Flame Television(24, Sports Night, Wonderland, Felicity)will serve as executive producers for the two-hour "event series" pilot of Dean Koontz’s Frankenstein, which begins production in April, USA executives said.

Marcus Nispel (Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2003) will direct the project, a modern takeoff on the horror classic.
