Univision Adds Bounce TV in Seven Markets
Univision Communications this month announced a deal to air Bounce TV as a multicast service on its stations in San Francisco; Boston; Miami; Denver; Sacramento, Calif.; Raleigh, N.C.; and Tampa, Fla.
The deal, terms of which were not disclosed, puts the African-American targeted Bounce TV in 24 of the top 25 markets.
“Bounce TV is the perfect companion for Univision as we continue to serve the New American Reality,” said Kevin Cuddihy, president, Univision Television Group, said in a statement. “It is a meaningful network that will serve African-American audiences in our communities, joining Univision to create a powerful one-two combination for viewers and advertisers.”
Bounce TV is a multicast network targeting young African-Americans and its founders include Martin Luther King III, former Ambassador Andrew Young, Andrew “Bo” Young III, and Rob Hardy and Will Packer, co-founders of Rainforest Films, one of the top African-American production companies in the world.
The network marked its first year on-air on Sept. 26.
