TWC Drives Audi to Alaska

The Weather Channel has signed Audi of America to sponsor WeatherQuest
2002 in Alaska
, an hour-long special due Sept. 16 at 8 p.m.

TWC senior brand manager for national ad-sales marketing Shari Pace said the
special -- focusing on 'the quest for the ultimate weather adventure' -- will
consist of four segments, including one on bush pilots, one on Iditarod
competitors and another on people who survived 10 days in a snowstorm.

The automaker will have four 30-second spots plus billboards on the special.
Audi -- through its ad agency, McKinney & Silver -- will also sponsor online
features such as top 10 scenic drives in Alaska.

In addition, Audi will sponsor a five-market tie-in tour hosted by Olympic
Games downhill skier Tommy Moe in New York, Chicago, Boston, Atlanta and Miami.
At each site, consumers can videotape an entry for the related
WeatherQuest contest seeking weather-related experiences.

In its first outing last year, WeatherQuest was based in Hawaii and
sponsored by Subaru of America Inc., TWC account manager Dan Shaughnessy
said.
