TVN Entertainment Corp. will provide video-on-demand services for NFL Network under a deal announced Tuesday.
The National Football League’s cable channel will use TVN's technology to deliver content -- including extended highlights of NFL games, programs from the Emmy Award-winning NFL Films library and other NFL Network programs -- to cable operators with affiliation agreements.
TVN will provide its “TVNow” rapid turnaround service, as well as other VOD-related services such as encoding, metadata management, menu development and distribution to operators.
“We are excited to be associated with this innovative product, which will showcase the value of the cable industry's VOD offering for football fans everywhere,” TVN senior vice president of sales and business development Jim Riley said in a prepared statement.
