TV Guide Channel announced Wednesday that its "Hollywood Fantasy Promotion"
is being offered to cable affiliates for the April 6 through May 10 span.
The fourth in a series of affiliate promotions, Fantasy will have as its
grand prize a trip to Los Angeles to serve as special correspondent to the
network's The Screening Room for one week.
The promotion also will offer viewers daily and weekly Hollywood-themed
Just before and during the promotion period, TV Guide will run 2,000 promo
spots, including taggable affiliate spots. In addition, TV Guide Online, TV
Guide magazine and TV Guide Interactive will support the campaign.
Last month's "Surround Yourself with Music" sweepstakes promotion, which
plugged the benefits of digital-cable music, was the channel's most successful
to date. It delivered 53 percent more entries than the previous high, senior
vice president of affiliate marketing Amy Bates said.
