Tubi Added to Vizio SmartCast
AVOD service Tubi is now available on smart TV maker Vizio’s SmartCast operating platform.
Irvine, California-based Vizio is one of the biggest manufacturers of smart TVs in the world, generating around $3.5 billion in annual sales.
It’s one more key distribution point for San Francisco-based start-up Tubi, which was already available on Samsung smart TVs.
In all, Tubi said it’s app is now supported by more than 25 platforms, including all the major OTT ecosystems Roku, Amazon Fire TV and Apple TV, Chromecast, Android TV, Xbox One, Sony Playstation 4. The free-to-consumer service, which boasts a library of 15,000 movie and TV show titles, is also natively available on Comcast’s X1 platform, as well as Cox’s licensed version of X1, Contour. Mobile Tubi apps for iOS and Android are also available.
