Toon Gets Teachers Pet

In another example of repurposing, Toon Disney next year will be home to
Disney's Teachers Pet, the animated show that currently airs on the ABC
Television Network Saturday mornings.

Beginning Jan. 7, Disney's Teacher's Pet, highlighted by the talents
of Nathan Lane, who voices the character of 'Spot/Scott,' will air on Toon
Disney at 4 p.m. and 10 p.m. (ET/PT).

The show will continue to air on ABC's 'Disney One Saturday Morning' at 8:30
a.m. (ET) and 7:30 a.m. (PT).

Produced by Walt Disney Television Animation, the Toon schedule will include
18 previously unaired installments, said ABC Kids and Toon Disney senior vice
president and general manager Jonathan Barzilay.

The show follows the story of a boy and his dog Spot-a talking canine who
wants the same education as his master.

Spot disguises himself as a boy, Scott, to attend school and become the
teacher's pet, so to speak.

Lane won a Daytime Emmy Award for outstanding performer in an animated
program in 2000-01 for his work.
