TNN: The National Network's first XFL game (Feb. 11) generated an impressive 2.4 rating, nearly four times as high as the 0.55 rating the network had earned with various outdoor and fishing shows in the Sunday 4-to-7-p.m. block. In an interview prior to the first XFL telecast, TNN senior vice president of sports and outdoors Brian Hughes said the games could average a strong 1.5 rating for the network. "There'll be a real buzz factor after people see the first few games, which will help our ratings," he added.
