TiVo Inc. detailed several upcoming products at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas Thursday.
• Satellite set-top vendor Humax Co. Ltd. will debut a new DVD recorder powered by TiVo, which should be on retail shelves this fall.
Humax will also build two new models of TiVo "Series2," digital-video recorders, which will store up to 80 hours and 250 hours of programs, respectively. The new Series2 models will be available at retail in the second quarter, TiVo said.
• Toshiba America Consumer Products extended its existing licensing agreement with TiVo in order to build new TiVo powered products this year. Included in this lineup will be Toshiba's first TiVo-powered DVD recorder model, slated for a fall introduction.
• And direct-broadcast satellite provider DirecTV Inc.’s HD DVR, set for a first-quarter release, was among the products TiVo demonstrated at the CES.
