Time Warner Cable Wednesday named Blaine Altaffer as its new group vice president of sales channels and market development.
In his new role, Altaffer will be responsible for Time Warner Cable’s sales strategies and sales channels, including e-tail, retail and door-to-door sales, as well as the company’s initiatives in the mover’s market, company officials said.
“Blaine is an expert in the retail marketplace and brings to Time Warner Cable impressive understanding and command of merchandising, e-tailing and marketing,” Sam Howe, TWC’s executive vice president and chief marketing officer, said in a statement. “He is a seasoned, entrepreneurial, visionary manager whose expertise is an ideal fit for the tremendous opportunities and demands facing our sales strategies. I am certain he will help drive Time Warner Cable forward, faster.”
In his 16 years at Circuit City Stores, Altaffer held several sales and purchasing positions. Most recently, he was business team lead at Digital Connections, managing all aspects of the company’s retail partnerships with cable, Internet, telecom, wireless and satellite companies. He also served as senior buyer for televisions, furniture and DVD hardware.
