Santa Clara, Calif.-Terayon Communication Systems Inc. has inked a deal to acquire Mainsail Networks Inc. for 3.2 million shares of Terayon common stock, worth about $164 million when the agreement was announced.
Mainsail's technology will provide Terayon with an access platform that supports advanced voice and data transmission between copper networks and fiber optic grids, Terayon said.
