Telemundo Launches Multiplatform Campaign To Assist Haiti

Telemundo has launched "Juntos por Haiti" (Together for Haiti), a multiplatform humanitarian campaign developed to help the victims of the earthquake that devastated that nation.

Through Juntos por Haiti, NBC Universal Spanish-language broadcast network will support the efforts of the American Red Cross through its programming, and local stations, making information available in Spanish 24 hours a day. U.S. Spanish-speaking viewers are encouraged to make their donations to the American Red Cross by calling the toll-free number 1-800-257-7575 or through

Journalist Carmen Dominicci will lead the campaign, presenting news briefs throughout the day and participating in the network shows to inform viewers about how to help the cause, as well as offering up-to-date information regarding Haiti.

News programs Al Rojo Vivo con María Celeste (5 p.m. ET/4 p.m.CT) and Noticiero Telemundo with José Díaz-Balart (6:30p.m./5:30 p.m.) will offer extensive coverage surrounding this terrible tragedy. Journalist José Estévez of Telemundo-Puerto Rico will be reporting from Port-au-Prince with the support of NBC News, including bilingual reporters Kerry Sanders of WTVJ-Miami and Tom Llamas of WNBC-New York.

Levántate, with Rashel Díaz, Alan Tacher and Idaly Ferrá, will dedicate its morning show to Haiti, with special reports and live cut-ins from various cities throughout the U.S. and information regarding the importance of monetary donations. will enable users to find in-depth information and obtain access to 24-hour donation centers. In this section, created exclusively for the campaign, users will find videos, reports, and images of the tragedy.
