TBS Superstation has firmed up casting for its upcoming original telefilm,
Evil Never Dies.
Thomas Gibson (Dharma & Greg) and Katherine Heigl (Roswell)
are on board for the thriller, which is slated to bow this summer, according to
TBS vice president of original programming and movies Tana Nugent Jamieson.
The film -- which the network is billing as a modern-day variation on the
Frankenstein story -- will be directed by Uli Edel (King of
Texas). It is being produced by Wolper Organization in association with
Warner Bros. Television.
Gibson portrays a police officer who has been transferred to patrol duty at a
prestigious college following the brutal murder of his wife. Gibson's character
discovers that the now-executed murderer has been brought to life as part of a
professor's strange experiment.
