TBS Goes Swimming for Toons
By MCN Staff
published Looking to bring more young-adult viewers to its daytime lineup, TBS
Superstation is reaching into sister service Cartoon Network’s late-night "Adult
Swim" block and grabbing episodes of Futurama and Family Guy for a
summer run.
Beginning July 7, the animated series will air weekdays at 2 p.m. and 2:30
p.m., respectively, succeeding back-to-back episodes of The Fresh Prince of
Bel-Air.
Futurama and Family Guy will continue to air during the white-hot
Adult Swim, which registered triple-digit growth among the 18-24 and 18-34 demos
in the second quarter.
