TBS Gets Burly in Late-Night

TBS Superstation and Burly Bear Network, the cable network distributed on
college campuses, cut a deal giving Burly Bear a weekly, one-hour, late-night
block starting Sept. 5.

'Burly TV on TBS' will feature a mix of Burly originals, including episodes
of Half Baked, a rock `n' roll cooking show; Imposter, a
hidden-camera show; Celebrity Highway, featuring carloads of 'vicious
celebrities;' and movie-related Movie Junky.

TBS and Burly Bear will also develop a range of original programming, they
said.

Burly Bear is backed by Lorne Michaels' Broadway Video, among other
investors, and it is run by former MTV: Music Television marketing chief Howard
Handler. It claims to reach more than 5 million students in 600 universities,
piped into dorm rooms and college living space on and
off-campus.
