TBS Dives Into Dawson's Creek

TBS Superstation will help celebrate the series finale of Dawson's
Creek
on sister network The WB Television Network with a dose of weekday
marathons beginning later this month.

The cable channel, as part of an off-network series acquisition of the
teen-age drama from Sony Pictures Television, will air all 128 episodes of
Creek -- which will finish its six-year run May 14 -- in weekday
four-hour blocks from 8 a.m. to noon starting March 31.

Following the conclusion of the series -- starring James Van Der Beek, Katie
Holmes, Michelle Williams and Joshua Jackson -- Creek will succeed
Matlock weekdays at 9 a.m. and 10 a.m.

Deal terms were not disclosed, but sources pegged the price at around
$200,000 per episode.

TBS officials expect the show to improve the network's appeal among adults 18
through 34.
