Tandberg Television hired Robin Main, formerly in charge of software engineering at Scientific Atlanta, as senior vice president of application-software development, the company announced Monday.
He will be in charge of software research and development for the video-processing-equipment vendor.
Most recently, Main was senior VP of engineering at Movaz Networks, an Atlanta-based optical-networking-equipment company that is now part of ADVA Optical Networking.
He also spent five years as SA’s VP of software engineering, responsible for software, firmware and system verification for cable components.
Main "brings a wealth of experience and technical expertise to our organization as we strive to be at the forefront of technology innovation that is changing the television industry," Tandberg CEO Eric Cooney said in a prepared statement.
