A Subscriber Asks Questions on RS-DVR
If Cablevision Systems is going to stop buying "physical
DVRs," some technical details will be appreciated by we subscribers. Among the
things we'd like to know:
1. Will the remote recording service cost more, less or the same as the present monthly
DVR rental?
2. What will be the total capacity (say, in hours) of
programs that can be held by an individual subscriber?
3. How long will programs be held? (Currently there is no
limit in time with the physical DVR.)
4. The physical DVR can record a maximum of two programs
broadcast at the same time. Will I be able to record ABC, CBS and NBC
programming simultaneously?
5. How about making a DVD
copy of a program that has no copyright restrictions, say a presidential
address?
