By Matt Stump published
York, Pa.-based Susquehanna Communications is launching six parlor games on
its embedded base of Scientific-Atlanta Inc. 'Explorer 2000' set-tops.
Susquehanna, which serves more than 200,000 subscribers, said customers in
York and Williamsport, Pa., and Brunswick, Maine, will be able to access
backgammon, checkers, memory, reversi, tiles and poker games.
S-A downloaded the application to Susquehanna's headends, which serve up the
content to digital interactive set-tops.
On the 'Classic' games channel, customers can post scores and compare their
results with other subscribers on the system through the top-10 leader
board.
