Discovery Networks U.S. has appointed former ESPN executive Evan Sternschein
to head its Eastern-region ad-sales efforts.
Sternschein will serve as senior vice president, national advertising sales.
He reports directly to Discovery Networks executive vice president, advertising
sales Bill McGowan.
Sternschein succeeds Bruce Lefkowitz, who recently joined Fox Cable Networks
Group as executive vice president of ad sales, entertainment.
Previously, Sternschein had spent one-dozen years at ESPN, where he finished
his tenure as executive vice president, national sales for ESPN/ABC customer
marketing and sales.

Evan,' McGowan said in a prepared statement. 'Evan's background and experience
provides the perfect fit for this management responsibility, and we're confident
that he can take our sales efforts to the next level.'
