Starz has begun production on Survivor’s Remorse, the new half-hour scripted comedy series executive produced by LeBron James.
In addition to James, the NBA player’s manager Maverick Carter will serve as executive producer, alongside Boston Red Sox Chairman Tom Werner, Victor Levin and Paul Wachter.
The series, which tells the story of Cam Calloway, a fictional young basketball player who’s thrust into the national spotlight after signing with a professional team, is scheduled to premiere on Starz later this fall. Cast members include Jessie Usher in the lead role, supported by Ronreaco Lee, Teyonah Parris and Erica Ash, among others.
Production on the six-episode series began this week in Atlanta, where the series takes place.
