Sling Media Expands Retail Push

Sling Media Inc. said it expanded distribution of its “Slingbox”portable media system to 14 additional retailers, following its July rollout in Best Buy Co. Inc. and CompUSA Inc. stores.
The company’s $249 Slingbox allows cable and direct-broadcast satellite subscribers to store content on PCs and access programming anywhere in the world with access to a high-speed-Internet connection.
Sling said the product is now available through Amazon.com Inc. (www.amazon.com (opens in new tab)), Newegg.com (www.newegg.com (opens in new tab)), Target.com (www.target.com (opens in new tab)), Walmart.com (www.walmart.com (opens in new tab)), Circuit City Stores Inc., Micro Center and RadioShack Corp.
Additional retailers include ebuyer.com (www.ebuyer.com (opens in new tab)), eCOST.com (www.ecost.com), DataVision (www.datavis.com), J&R Electronics Inc. (www.jr.com) and PC Connection Inc. (www.pcconnection.com), along with Sling’s online store (www.slingmedia.com).
