SkiTAM Turns 10

SkiTAM will hit the slopes for the 10th time April 7-10 in Vail, Colo.

The Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing’s Rocky Mountain chapter said the event has raised more than $3 million since debuting in 1996.

SkiTAM will also help to sponsor a World Cup skiing competition Jan. 10-13 in Steamboat Springs, Colo., to continue the development and exposure of the U.S. Disabled Ski Team.

“Over the past 10 years, SkiTAM and its sponsors have built one of the media industry’s most significant networking events, along with helping to build and sustain the remarkable USDST teams, consistently the best in the world,” Cox Communications Inc. senior vice president of marketing and SkiTAM sponsorship committee co-chair Joe Rooney said in a prepared statement.

“In 2005, we’re stepping up even further, creating more opportunities for industry sponsors to participate with SkiTAM and recognizing the difference that SkiTAM has made over the past 10 years,” Rooney added.

Event registration forms, lodging and travel information will become available online (www.skitam.com) in the coming weeks.
