Simon Says: New Tennis CFO

The Tennis Channel has hired Dick Clark Productions Inc. veteran William Simon as its chief financial officer.

"We're looking forward to having an executive with such keen strategic and analytical skills leading our financial team," Tennis chairman and CEO Ken Solomon said in a prepared statement. "Bill's extensive experience in entertainment makes him a perfect fit for The Tennis Channel."

Most recently, Simon was serving as CFO, vice president of finance and treasurer for Dick Clark Productions, the independent producer of a wide range of TV programming Simon joined that company in 1991 as a senior production accountant before being elevated to CFO, where he played an instrumental role facilitating a $140 million merger and led the company through a significant growth period that saw revenues increase from $66 million to $92 million in three years.

Prior to joining Dick Clark Productions, Simon was a senior auditor at KPMG LLC.
