Showtime on Tuesday announced the programming scheduled for its 'Hispanic
Heritage Month,' running from Sept. 15 through Oct. 15.
The premium network said that its movie titles will
include The Maldonado Miracle
, due Oct. 12 at 8 p.m., a 'Showtime Original Picture for All Ages' that
will mark the directorial debut of actress Salma Hayek; the film, with Hayek as
executive producer, will star Peter Fonda, Mare Winningham and Ruben Blades.
For the fourth year, Showtime will offer the
'Latino Fillmmaker Showcase', starting Sept. 15 at 9:30 p.m.
The film titles due as part of that package will include Moment to
Moment; An Assignment; One, Two, Three; What Really Happened During the
Cuban Missile Crisis and Flirting With Death.
In the concert genre, Showtime has set The Original
Latin Kings of Comedy
, a live
concert taped in El Paso, Texas, for Sept. 15 at 8
p.m..
Primarily in English, this special will feature Cheech Marin, George Lopez
and Paul Rodriguez.
