The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers said Thursday that its Conference on Emerging Technologies attracted 935 attendees.
That total marked a 20% rise compared with 2004’s confab in Dallas and a 38% jump versus the 2003 event in Miami.
“It is clear after being surrounded by the brightest technologists and visionaries in our industry this week in Huntington Beach [Calif.] that enthusiasm for the future of broadband technology continues to mount,” SCTE CEO John Clark said in a prepared statement.
ET 2006 is set for Tuesday-Thursday, Jan. 10-12 in Tampa, Fla.
