Knoxville, Tenn. -- Scripps Networks said it promoted three executives to the
newly created positions of presidents for its Home & Garden Television, Food
Network and Do It Yourself cable networks.
The company named Burton Jablin president of HGTV, Judy Girard president of
Food and Jim Zarchin president of DIY. The executives previously held the titles
of senior vice presidents and general managers of the respective networks.
'The promotions of these three general managers to presidents reflects their
success in taking on additional responsibilities over the past year as our
reorganization has proceeded,' Scripps Networks president Ed Spray said in a
prepared statement.
