Scopus Video Networks, a maker of digital-video-networking products based in Tel Aviv, Israel, announced Friday that president Yaron Simler has been promoted to CEO.
Simler succeeds cofounder David Mahlab, who has been appointed chairman. Former chairman Yoel Gat will remain a member of Scopus' board.
Before joining Scopus as president in August 2005, Simler was president of Harmonic's Convergent Systems Division.
