Revolt to Air 24-Hour Beats Music Concert

In an attempt to bring the curated playlists found on its music streaming app to life, Beats Music has partnered with Revolt TV to air a 24-hour concert called “It Was A Good Day, Beats Music Presents: The Live 90’s Hip Hop Playlist.”

The special, which includes footage of performances filmed during the 2014 Grammy weekend during which Beats Music was launched, will begin airing at 6 a.m. (ET) on Sunday, April 20 and continue through 6 a.m. the following morning.

Coinciding with the special’s title, the program will feature performances from artists like Dr. Dre, Eminem, Nas, Ice Cube and Mase. REVOLT owner Sean Combs, also known as Puff Daddy, also headlines the concert. Additional performances include artists like Cypress Hill, Busta Rhymes, Method Man & Redman, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Geto Boys, Souls of Mischief, and Fatlipl & Slimkid3 (formerly of The Pharcyde).

In order to bring the theme of a Beats Music playlist to life, each artist performs only one song during the special.

“Watching all of these amazing hip hop artists perform live in one concert was a personal high for me. Now, thanks to Beats Music, our audience gets to experience this special event on Revolt,” said Revolt executive vice president, head of programming and production Val Boreland in a release.
