Retirement TV Relocates To Baltimore

Retirement Living TV has relocated its operations to the University of Maryland, Baltimore City Technological Park from Columbia, Md.

The network, dedicated to serving viewers 50-plus, now operates from the $30 million, 100,000-square-foot, state-of- the-art facility that includes an on-site master control, full IT data center, capacity for two full production studios and the largest audience-rated studio in the state of Maryland.

The facility, which can also be expanded, also houses diverse path OC12 fiber connectivity, redundant back-up power for the building and is specifically constructed for broadcast origination. In addition to these technology components, the new site includes a 14-seat all digital post-production facility.

"After two years of planning and construction, the capabilities of the new building will help to facilitate RLTV's growth and development of the network as we work toward our goal of broadening our distribution to adults 50 + across the nation," said Jamie Peebles, RLTV vice president of engineering and broadcast operations in a statement.

RLTV provides a variety of programming including health, finance, reality, comedy and drama.
