Cable overbuilder RCN will soon be able to begin marketing its triple-play of video, high-speed Internet and phone service to an additional 5,000 homes in Lehigh Valley County, Pa.
The company said Thursday that the Emmaus Borough Council approved a franchise that will allow it to sell pay TV services to the town’s 5,000 homes. Service Electric Cable TV is the incumbent cable operator in Emmaus.
“The Borough Council is excited to have RCN coming to Emmaus to offer a competitive telecommunications alternative for our residents,” Borough Manager Bruce Fosselman said in a prepared statement.
