NDS Group plc said Thursday that RCN Corp. launched its end-to-end Digital Video Broadcast-complaint solution Jan. 5.
RCN is using NDS’ "VideoGuard" conditional-access system, "Core" middleware, "StreamServer" digital-broadcasting-management system, "Value@TV" interactive infrastructure and applications and an interactive electronic program guide.
NDS will also be the prime systems integrator and provide 24/7 technical support to RCN from the vendor’s Newport Beach, Calif., location.
