Ratings Ain't Rough For `Twain' Miniseries

Hallmark Channel recorded its best-ever ratings for an original show with the
first installment of its Mark Twain miniseries.

The first two hours of Mark Twain'sRoughing It averaged a 1.6
household rating from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. on March 16, making it the
fifth-highest-rated show in the channel's history, according to network
officials. The second half of the Hallmark Entertainment-produced project
averaged a 1.1 household rating the following night.

'The performance of `Mark Twain's Roughing It' validates our recently
announced programming strategy to commission 24 world premiere movies over a
24-month period continuing the network's momentum since our August 2001 launch,'
said Hallmark Channel U.S. president and CEO Lana Corbi in a
statement.
