QVC Inc. announced the signing of a 10-year lease with the Mall of America
Wednesday, and the network plans to produce live shows from that site via QVC @
The Mall.
A new subsidiary, QVC @ The Mall will be 'broadcasting studios integrated
into a unique store design,' according to QVC's announcement.
The electronic retailer initially tested QVC @ The Mall as a 500-square-foot
site within the Bloomington, Minn., mall, but that proved so successful, the
company said, that it will now expand to a 2,500-square-foot store.
As part of its 10-year deal, QVC will become 'the official interactive
commerce partner' of the mall.
