Powell to Appear on BET

Secretary of State Colin Powell will speak to high-school students as part of
a Black Entertainment Television interactive town-hall meeting Feb. 20.

BET Open Mic: Secretary Colin Powell Speaks to Our Youth will feature an
open discussion on several issues, including the possible war with Iraq, the war
on terrorism, the impact of affirmative action and the African-American
community's battle against the HIV/AIDS epidemic, the network said.

60 Minutes anchor Ed Bradley will moderate the town-hall meeting, which
will also include BET's 106 & Park co-host Free, actor Nick Cannon
and BET Nightly News congressional correspondent Monqiue
Conrad.
