Peters Takes WICT Chair

Rori Peters, vice president of affiliate relations at Comedy Central, has
been named the Women in Cable & Telecommunications national chair, the
not-for-profit group said Tuesday.

Peters actually assumed the helm of the 4,900-member organization Jan. 1,
succeeding Sharon O'Malley Monahan, a partner at Fleischman and Walsh L.L.P.,
who remains on WICT's executive committee.

Along with Peters and Monahan, the association's executive committee includes
vice chair Nancy Carmichael Murphy, senior director of regulatory affairs at
AT&T Broadband; secretary Susan Scott, senior vice president of distribution
at The Weather Channel; treasurer Rosa Marie Gatti, senior vice president of
communications at

ESPN; Melanie Penna, vice president of human resources at Comcast Cable
Communications Inc.; and chapter director Robin Sangston, vice president and
assistant general counsel at Cox Communications Inc.

They will be joined by newly elected board members Ellen East, vice president
of corporate communications at Cox; Leslie Grayson, group vice president of
operations at Time Warner Cable's National Division; Jessica Heacock, group vice
president at VH1; Susan Lewis, division vice president at Starz Encore Group
LLC; and Laura Timoney, vice president at Bishop Partners.

Returning board members are Lisa Bryant, regional director of affiliate
operations at Home Box Office; Dana Caterson, marketing manager at Pioneer
Studios/QVC; Carol Hicks, vice president of communications at Scripps
Networks/Fine Living; Victoria Lins, senior vice president of marketing and
communications at Adlink; Wonya Yvette Lucas, senior vice president of strategic
marketing at Cable News Network; Maureen O'Hanlon, vice president and general
manager at AT&T Media Services; and Kim Roden, vice president of public
affairs and customer service at Time Warner Cable.
