PerfTech has upgraded its browser-based messaging systems for Internet service providers to support notifications for up to 2 million subscribers in a one-rack-unit system.
Other enhancements in version 3.1 of PerfTech's Bulletin System software include a new power-safe file system and capabilities to personalize bulletin content and to target recipients. The new release has been in trial or production use over the last six months by three top-tier PerfTech customers, according to the company.
PerfTech, based in San Antonio, Texas, says cable operators using its system include WideOpenWest, Oregon's BendBroadband, Ohio's Buckeye CableSystem and TV Cabo in Portugal.
PerfTech recently announced an agreement with Active Broadband Networks to provide a solution that lets ISPs notify users of their monthly bandwidth consumption.
