Ronald Day was named executive vice president, programming, at Telemundo Networks. A former Univision and Telefutura executive, Day was also executive producer of the Spanish-language talk show Cristina.

Broadcast technology supplier LYNX Technic AG has named Matthias Guenckel as international sales manager. He comes from Sony Professional Europe, where he was a sales manager responsible for Sony PSE sales in the healthcare media sector.
VIACOM
Viacom named Ramon Jimenez as senior vice president of insights and strategy for MTV, VH1 and Logo, a new post. Jimenez, who was group strategy director at Droga5, will oversee’ consumer and cultural insights, strategy and social import effects.

Lauren Fry has rejoined Simulmedia in New York as vice president, customer success and business analytics. She rejoins the company from AT&T AdWorks, where she had served as director of tune-in sales since May of 2017.

Jill Stark has joined WideOpenWest in Englewood, Colo., as senior vice president of sales, leading the company’s residential and commercial sales teams. She comes from Sprint, where she was president of enterprise sales, West area.
BUZZFEED named Lauren Dolgen head of BuzzFeed Studios. She had been head of West Coast development for Viceland, the Vice Media/A+E Networks joint venture.
Lily Fu Claffee was named general counsel at FOX NEWS in New York. She comes from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, where she was senior VP, general counsel and corporate secretary.
TELEMUNDO also added Amanda Calpin as chief financial officer, Telemundo Networks; and Ignacio Barrera as senior vice president, sales and business development, Telemundo Studios.
Kristin Burks has joined CROWN MEDIA FAMILY NETWORKS as director, media research and consumer insights. The former NBCUniversal executive was a consultant to MediaBiz Data Solutions on product development and strategy.
UP TV promoted a trio of executives: Philip Manwaring to chief financial officer and chief technology office; Reta Perry to chief administrative and operations officer; and Becky Courson to vice president and controller.
