Sheila Cole has joined The Africa Channel in Los Angeles as vice president, post-production operations. Her 20-year career has included work for NBC, PaisleyPark, Comedy Central, Food Network and BET, where she was senior director of post production.

Also, Brendan Gabriel has joined Africa Channel as vice president, production, and creative director. He had been head of creative for Endemol Shine Africa.

BBC WORLDWIDE
Los Angeles-based BBC Worldwide Productions has bamed Matt Loze as had of scripted. He comes from Fox 21 Television Studios, where he was senior VP, programming.

CONWAY
Brett Carroll was elevated to CEO of municipal telecom and utility provider Conway Corp. in Conway, Ark. He had been Conway’s chief financial officer.

ENDEMOL SHINE
Marisa Hammonds was elevated to senior vice president, digital, marketing & research at Endemol Shine North America. Hammonds, who joined Shine America in 2011, now oversees digital and social media, marketing and research.

ENTERTAINMENT STUDIOS
Entertainment Studios has named Brooke Wolfe as director of distribution for Freestyle Digital Media, the digital content distribution of featurefilm unit Freestyle Releasing.

IM GLOBAL
Tim Bock was named senior vice president of production, scripted and alternative, at IM Global Television in Los Angeles. He had been VP of production for ABC’s Alternative Series & Specials department.

LAUGHLY
Mark Seman has joined streaming standup comedy app Laughly as head of programming and original content. Laughly also added Kelley Anneken as head of product and Elliott Peters as acting general counsel and strategic adviser.

METRO-GOLDWYN-MAYER
Sam Toles has joined Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios in Los Angeles as senior vice president, digital and new platforms. He was senior VP, general manager of Vimeo’s Entertainment Group.

RLTV
Chris Swan has joined RLTV in Baltimore as senior vice president of network development. Formerly an adviser to the network, he has served in senior management positions at New England Sports Network, Golf Channel and HorseRacing TV.

SIMULMEDIA
Simulmedia added two executives in its New York office: Harold Morgenstern as general manager, agency development and strategic partnerships; and Jerry Canning as vice president, sales.

UNIVISION
Malek Robert “Bobby” Amirshahi has joined Univision Communications as senior vice president, corporate communications. He comes from Time Warner Cable, where he served as VP, public relations, prior to the MSO’s acquisition by Charter Communications.

VERANCE
Lucy Hughes has joined Verance as vice president, head of research, responsible for heading research efforts for its Verance Aspect first-party TV-audience measurement product. She comes from Media General, where she was research chief.

WEATHER CO.
Carrie Seifer has been named vice president and chief revenue officer at The Weather Co. She most recently served as president of Mediavest.

WEATHER GROUP
John Goodwin has joined The Weather Group in Atlanta, parent of The Weather Channel, as head of communications. He comes from Washington, D.C., public-affairs firm The Herald Group, where he was VP.
