Rafael Fonseca was named vice president and director of product management at Westford, Mass.-based Artel Video Systems. He had been VP of product management, marketing and sales at Cedar Point Communications until its acquisition by Genband.

CHARTER

Rhonda Crichlow has joined Charter Communications in Stamford, Conn., as senior vice president and chief diversity officer, a new post. She comes from pharmaceutical company Novartis, where she was VP, U.S. diversity and inclusion.

COX

Cox Communications has added Rachel Welch as vice president of government affairs, based in the cable operator’s Washington, D.C., office. She had formerly served as head of federal legislative at Time Warner Cable.

DISCOVERY

Discovery Communications has added Michael Bishara as senior vice president and general manager, OTT and digital syndication. He comes from Synacor, where he was senior VP, digital products and general manager, OTT and TV everywhere.

DISNEY

John Rood was named senior vice president, marketing, at Disney Channels Worldwide. He returns to Disney after serving as executive vice president of DC Entertainment from 2010-14.

ENTERTAINMENT STUDIOS

James Gronfein has joined Entertainment Studios in New York as senior vice president, advertising sales for the global syndication division. He comes from CBS Television Distribution, where he was VP of advertising.

Also, Eric Peterkofsky was elevated to executive vice president of talent and public relations at ES. He had been a talent executive and public relations coordinator.

GROUP M

Kelly Clark was named global CEO of media buyer GroupM. A former top executive of GroupM-owned agencies Maxus and Mindshare, he has also served as GroupM’s CEO for Europe.

NBCU TELEMUNDO

Erika Estrada Boden was named vice president of business and legal affairs at NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises, based in Miami. She comes from Fox International Channels Latin America, where she served in the Business & Legal Affairs department.

QUANTUM

Molly Rector has joined San Jose, Calif.-based enterprise storage firm Quantum as vice president, marketing. She comes from DDN, where she had served as chief marketing officer and executive VP of global marketing and product management.

SONAR

Sonar Entertainment reported several hires and promotions on its global sales team: Carol Emery as executive vice president, international distribution, EMEA; Kylie Munich as senior VP, international distribution, Australasia; Andres Santos as vice president, international distribution, Latin America, Brazil and Hispanic North America; Roberta Ibba-Hartog as senior vice president, international distribution, EMEA; Patrick Phelan as vice president, international distribution, EMEA; and Louis Oliver, coordinator, international distribution, EMEA.

TSL

Greg Siers has joined U.K.- based broadcast equipment manufacturer TSL Producst as director of North American sales. He comes from Discovery Communications, where he oversaw all live production work for the programmer.

TV LAND

Keith Cox was promoted to president, development and production at TV Land, based in New York. He had formerly served as executive VP of development and original programming.
