Christian Wymbs was named executive vice president and chief accounting officer at AMC Networks, based in New York. He comes from American Express Co., where he was senior VP and CFO of the company’s Global Commercial Services business.

MSNBC

Errol Cockfield has been appointed senior vice president, MSNBC Communications, based in New York. He comes from communications and marketing firm Edelman, where he was a senior VP in the New York office.

OVATION

David Widerøe has joined Ovation in Santa Monica, Calif., as senior vice president, marketing and on-air promotions. He comes from E! Networks, where he finished up his 16-year tenure with the programmer as VP, marketing solutions.

Also, Ash Steffy advanced to vice president, creative services, at the arts network. He had been director, creative services.

POP

Justin Rosenblatt was named executive vice president of original programming and development at Pop. Currently senior VP, alternative programming at The CW, Rosenblatt will join the CBS and Lionsgate-owned network in September.

SPIKE TV

Spike TV upped Los Angeles-based Tori Socha to vice president, original series. She had been senior director, responsible for overseeing current series and original concepts for the channel.

STARZ

Starz has elevated six executives in its legal department: Beverly Hills, Calif.-based Carrie Dolce to senior vice president, business and legal affairs from VP; Todd Hoy to senior vice president, business and legal affairs from VP, based in Denver; Gavin Wise to senior vice president and legal affairs, based in Beverly Hills; Deanne Bloch to vice president, business and legal affairs with a focus on clearance work, based in Beverly Hills; John Martin to vice president business and legal affairs-production labor relations, based in Beverly Hills; and Janine Scalise Boyd to vice president, business and creative affairs-music, based in Beverly Hills.

Rick Bergan has joined Mont realbased Stingray Digital Group, a multiplatform music and in-store media solut ions provider, as head of content distribution for the United, States. He comes from OneTwoSee, a startup in Philadelphia recently acquired by Comcast, where he was executive VP, business development.
