David Plakosh was named general manager of Allworx, Windstream’s Rochester, N.Y.-based maker of VoIP communications systems for small- and medium-sized businesses. He had been chief consulting officer of the company.

ALTICE USA

Michael Schreiber has been named chief content officer at Altice USA, the domestic arm of European telco Altice N.V. He comes from Comcast, where he was senior VP, content acquisition.

BBC AMERICA

Oswald Méndez was named executive vice president of marketing and digital at BBC America, based in New York. He most recently served as executive vice president and chief marketing officer of Spanish-language broadcast network MundoFox.

CBS

Jim Lanzone was named chief digital officer of CBS Corp. He will continue as CEO of its CBS Interactive unit.

Also, Susan Lundgren was upped to senior vice president, communications at CBS Interactive. She had been VP.

CHARTER

Keith Bowen has been named chief revenue officer for Spectrum Reach, the advertising sales and production services division of cable operator Charter. He had served in the same role at Tribune Media.

COMMON CAUSE

Washington, D.C.-based advocacy group Common Cause has named Karen Hobert Flynn as president. She had been the organization’s senior VP for strategy and programs.

ECLIPSE

Leila Amirsadeghi has joined Eclipse Marketing in Burbank, Calif., as vice president, client development. She comes from Trailer Park, where she had been a VP.

FOX NETWORKS GROUP

Ravi Ahuja has been named chief financial officer of Fox Networks Group, replacing retiring CFO Del Mayberry. He had been executive vice president, business operations and development for FNG.

FOX SPORTS

Aimee Leone has joined Fox Sports as senior vice president, talent, to be based in Los Angeles. She comes from WME/IMG, where she served as VP of the broadcasting and speakers division.

GOLF CHANNEL

Golf Channel has elevated Kevin Schultz to senior director, lifestyle content, overseeing daily news program Morning Drive. He had been a producer.

Also, Kevin Endsley advanced to senior director, franchise development and innovation, at the NBC Sports Group Unit. He comes from NBC Entertainment, where he oversaw media relations.

Golf also promoted Phil Piazza to senior vice president, programming, and Jon Kropp to vice president, digital strategy; and added Mary Stack as vice president, marketing strategy.

HBO

Francesca Orsi and David Levine have been name coheads of drama series at HBO, responsible for overseeing the development and production of all network drama series. Both were senior VP, original series.

MINDSHARE

Cheryl Idell has joined Mindshare U.S. as West Coast lead, based in Los Angeles. She comes from Nielsen, where she was executive VP of client solutions.

NEST

Marwan Fawaz has joined Nest, the Google-owned maker of smart thermostats and other smart-home products, as CEO. Fawaz is the former CEO of Motorola Home and has served as chief technology officer at both Charter Communications and Adelphia Communications.
