Sean Welch has joined Cisco Systems as vice president of cable access, the unit focused on cable-modem termination systems (CMTSs) and high-density Converged Cable Access Platform (CCAP) products. He had previously been president and CEO of Kwicr.

COMEDY

Kent Alterman has been promoted to president of Comedy Central. He had been president of original programming.

DISCOVERY

Leigh Anne Brodsky has joined Discovery Entertainment as executive vice president, Discovery Global Enterprises, responsible for consumer products, location-based entertainment and program sales on a worldwide basis. She comes from Peanuts Worldwide and Iconix Entertainment, where she was managing director.

Also, Discovery has advanced Robert S. Scanlon to executive vice president, general manager of Velocity and Automotive Content.

ESPN

Nate Ravitz was upped to vice president of audience development at ESPN, adding oversight of digital programming across ESPN.com and the ESPN App to his duties. He was senior director, digital video and push operations.

FUSION

Jason Wagenheim has joined Fusion as senior vice president, brand partnerships, and head of revenue. The 20-year media and marketing veteran had worked with companies such as Condé Nast and such brands as Vanity Fair, Teen Vogue and Entertainment Weekly.

Also, Megan Gilbert was tapped as director, branded content for Lightworks, Fusion Media Group’s creative and and branded content studio. She comes from Studio@Gawker, where she was content director.

IFC

IFC upped Mike DiGiacomo to vice president, integrated marketing and sales strategy. He was director, integrated marketing.

ITV ENTERTAINMENT

Jessica Sebastian was named senior vice president, development, at ITV America unit ITV Entertainment in Los Angeles. She was head of alternative programming at USA Network.

K7 MEDIA

Tom Burton has joined international TV trends consultancy K7 Media as marketing manager. He comes from Twofour Rights (part of ITV Studios), where he had formerly worked as a sales executive.

Also, Danny Kershaw has joined K7 Media as international research manager. He had been a senior account manager with UK Global Risk Solutions.

NECTA

Timothy O. Wilkerson has joined the New England Cable and Telecommunications Association in Braintree, Mass., as vice president and policy counsel. Wilkerson had formerly served as regulatory and permitting ombudsman at the Massachusetts Executive Office of Housing and Economic Development.

POKER CENTRAL

John Mathews has joined Las Vegas-based cable network Poker Central as vice president of distribution. The 20-yearplus Turner distribution veteran had been with MultiFamily Media Management.

STARZ

Pamela Wolfe has joined Starz as executive vice president, human resources, based in Beverly Hills, Calif. She had been chief people officer at Eleventh Hour Entertainment, a boutique specialty entertainment and creative staffing firm.

WINDSTREAM

Beth A. Lackey has joined Windstream Communications as Denver-based senior vice president, carrier operations. She led service delivery in North America and Asia for Level 3 Communications.
