Global digital agency Essence in New York has promoted Jesse Cahill to North America head of media. He most recently served as North Amer ica head of planning.


Roger Brooks has signed on with San Mateo, Calif.-based big data analytics firm Guavus as chief scientist. He comes from Hewlett Packard, where he most recently served as chief architect of HP Software.


Carolyn Bollaci has been named managing director of Innovid’s APAC operatioms, responsible for supporting the company’s growth throughout Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Japan, Southeast Asia, India and China. She comes from Sizmek, where she was regional VP, ANZ (Australia/New Zealand).


Cloud-based rights management systems maker Mediamorph has added Jim Riley as chief revenue officer, tasked with heading the company’s global revenue expansion. He most recently served as chief revenue officer at Vubiquity.


Michael Klein has joined MTV as executive vice president, original content. He comes from Condé Nast Entertainment, where he had been VP of alternative programming, developing such series as ID’s Vanity Fair Confidential, The New Yorker Presents and Amazon’s Fashion Fund.


Telemundo has tapped Mario Ruiz as senior vice president of music and entertainment projects for the Spanish-language media company. He had been senior VP, talent and development strategy.


Natasha Hritzuk has joined Turner Broadcasting System’s research division as vice president of client insights and content partnership research. She comes from Microsoft, where she was head of global consumer insights and research.


Eric Ratchman has joined Univision Communications as executive vice president, content distribution. He comes from The Walt Disney Co., where he most recently served as senior VP, Global Distribution Strategy and Business Development, Disney Media Network.
