Valerie Cabrera has joined AMC Networks’s AMC Studios division as Los Angeles-based senior vice president of distribution. She comes from Entertainment One in Los Angeles, where she was executive VP for TV International.

Also, Melissa Landau has joined AMC Studios as senior vice president, business affairs, based in New York. She had been senior VP of business affairs and deputy general counsel at TV Land.

ATIS

The Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solutions has added Dr. Byung K. Yi to its board of dierctors. Yi is executive vice president and chief technology officer of InterDigital Labs.

CTHRA

The Cable and Telecommunications Human Resources Association has named Abby Pfeiffer as its new president. She is the senior VP, human resources at Charter Communications.

Also named to CTHRA’s executive committee were vice president Eric Hawkins of Discovery Communications; secretary Seth Feit of Time Warner Cable; treasurer Tom Tooker of A+E Networks; and at-large members Pam Hagan of Bright House Networks and Sheryl Anderson of Starz.

LECTROSONICS

Lectrosonics, a Rio Rancho, N.M.-based maker of wireless microphone and audio processing systems for broadcast, has named Kelly Fair as Western regional sales manager. He had been president of Esfera Group.

LITTON

Litton Entertainment has added David Doyle as vice president, production and nonfiction development. He comes from Animal Planet, where he was head of development and production.

Also, Ilana Gordon has joined Litton as producer, branded content. She was a supervising producer on HBO’s Project Greenlight.

Finally, Mark Rains has joined Litton as executive in charge of production. He comes from BBC Worldwide Productions, where he oversaw such programs as National Geographic Channel’s Life Below Zero and History’s Lost in Transmission.

SMPTE

Howard Lukk has joined the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers in White Plains, N.Y., as director of standards. He had been a writer and director at independent film production and management company Pannon Entertainment and is the former VP, production systems at The Walt Disney Studios.

RMCA

The Denver-based Rocky Mountain Cable Association has named its board of directors for 2016: David Rapson of Layer3 TV, president; Kat Williams of Comcast Wholesale, vice president; Erin Bryant of Comcast West Division, treasurer; and Katie Milham of Starz, secretary.

UNIVISION

Jorge Dominguez was elevated to senior vice president, art and design, at Univision Communications. He had been VP, art design.

Also, Univision tapped Sam Abiad as senior vice president, ad sales operations and local business strategy. He had been VP, commercial excellence and operations.

Finally, Hilda Garcia was tapped as Univision’s vice president, digital local media. She comes from Entravision Communications, where she was VP, multimedia content and community development.

VIDEOLOGY

Richard Hall has been named to the newly created post of vice president, North America television strategy at New York-based Videology, with responsibility for the company’s Advanced TV platform. He comes from Cadreon, the digital marketing services platform of IPG Mediabrands, where he had served as director, product management of Advanced TV.
