Predictive media analytics firm Deep Root Analytics has added Doug MacDonald as a New York-based vice president, business development. He comes from Celtra, an HTML5 programmatic creative platform, where he was senior VP, sales.

Karen Leever has joined Discovery Communications as executive vice president and general manager, digital media. She comes from DirecTV, where she was senior VP, digital and direct sales.

Gary Pudney has joined Keshet International as head of Asia, in charge of the company’s Hong Kong office. He had been head of Asia- Pacific at Sparks/Eccho Group.

MITEL

Ottawa-based Mitel has named Henry Lu as vice president, responsible for mainland China operations, and Sean Foo as vice president, responsible for Southeast Asia. Lu had served as GM, sales, for JDS China; Foo had led sales and development efforts at Avaya and ShoreTel.

MOBITIZE

Kay Wong-Alfariz has joined Blaine, Wash.- based Mobetize as senior vice president, operations and finance. She comes from Asian Coast Development, where she was senior VP, finance and risk management.

REVOLT

Derek Ferguson has joined New York-based music network Revolt as chief operating officer. He comes from Combs Enterprises, the company owned by Revolt partner Sean “Diddy” Combs, where he was chief growth officer.

UNIVISION

John W. Eck was named chief local media officer at Univision Communications, adding responsibility for the company’s 128 TV and radio stations. He had been executive VP of technology, operations and engineering.
