beIN Sports in Miami has added several executives: John Duff as director, business development and strategy; Peter Hering as East Coast sales manager; Alex Almirall as senior account executive of sales; and Valerie Boldrin as public relations and corporate communciations manager.

Phillip Meeks will join Charter Communications as executive vice president, president of business services upon completion of the MSO’s merger with Time Warner Cable. He is TWC’s executive VP and chief operating officer for business services.

Also, David Kline has joined Charter as executive vice president, president of media sales. He comes from programmatic TV-advertising outfit Visible World, where he was president and chief operating officer.

Finally, Paul Marchand will join Charter as executive vice president, human resources. He was senior VP, human resources, North America Beverages Field and Supply Chain Organization at PepsiCo.

Comcast Cable has named Michael Parker as senior vice president, Western New England region, based in Berlin, Conn. He had been VP, operations, of Comcast’s Greater Chicago region.

Deighton Liverpool has joined the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers in Exton, Pa., as vice president of information technology. He comes from the Association of Village Council Presidents in Atlanta, where he was chief technology officer.

Also, Niem Dang was named director, technical operations at SCTE, as well as a visiting engineer at CableLabs in Louisville, Colo. She most recently worked at Comcast.

Spike has elevated Kevin Slusser to senior vice president, sports and specials, adding responsibility for the network’s live nonsports specials and events to his responsibilities. He had been senior VP, sports.

TECHNICOLOR

Media technology firm Technicolor has named Luis Martinez Amago as president of its U.S. Connected Home Division, including the recently acquired Cisco Connected Devices unit. He comes from Alcatel Lucent, where he most recently was CEO of the Alcatel-Lucent Shanghai Bell joint venture.
