Gina Mingacci was hired as vice president, development and current programming at BBC America, based in Los Angeles. She comes from Superb Entertainment, where she was head of scripted television.

HISTORY

History has promoted a pair of programming executives: Arturo Interian to Los Angeles-based senior vice president, scripted programming, from VP, development and programming at sister network Lifetime; and Russ McCarroll to senior vice president, development and programming, based in New York.

Also, Sean Boyle has joined History as vice president, development and programming. He comes from Discovery Channel, where he was VP, development.

LOGO

Logo has upped Pamela Post to senior vice president, original programming and series development, based in Los Angeles. She will continue in her role as executive producer of RuPaul’s Drag Race.

MONAMI

Monami Entertainment has named Dorothy Toran as vice president, production, a new post based in New York. The veteran producer is the former executive in charge of production at True Entertainment.

OPEN ROAD

Paul Slavin was named president of digital publisher and multimedia content firm Open Road Integrated Media. Formerly executive VP and chief operating officer at Everyday Health, he is the former senior VP, news media at ABC News, responsible for digital, mobile and broadband content.

ORION

Denver-based television production company Orion Entertainment has tapped Allison Boon as vice president, development. She comes from RIVR Media in Los Angeles where she was senior director of development.

Also, Katie Fimple was named director of entertainment at Orion. She was an associate and casting producer at High Noon Entertainment in Denver.

OVATION TV

William Marks has joined Ovation TV as vice president, business development of the Santa Monica, Calif.-based arts network. He comes from Verizon-owned OnCue, where he was head of accounts.

TURNER

Turner Broadcasting System has upped Patrick Kelly to executive vice president, business affairs, TBS & TNT. He has been with Turner Entertainment’s business-affairs department since 2002.

UNIVISION

Derek Bond has joined Univision Communications in Miami as senior vice president, production strategy. He comes from Imagina US, where he was CEO of Imagina Content.

THE WORKSHOP

Radnor, Pa.-based independent content studio The WorkShop has elevated Tom Farrell to CEO and executive producer. He comes from Banyan Productions, where he was chief operating officer.
