P. Sean Gupta has joined BET Networks in New York as vice president, programming strategy. He comes from Time Warner Cable, where he was senior director of business decisions.

The Cable and Telecommunciations Human Resources Association has named Len Barlik to its board of directors. Barlik is executive vice president and chief human resources officer for Cox Communciations in Atlanta.

IFC

Sallie Schoneboom has joined IFC as senior vice president, public relations, based in New York. She comes from NBCUniversal, where she was senior VP, communications for Syfy and Chiller.

LIONSGATE

Lionsgate Television Group has named Jennifer O’Connell as executive vice president, alternative programming, a new post. She comes from CORE Media Group, where she had served as head of U.S. television.

NATPE

Matt Palmer has joined the National Association of Television Program Executives as chief marketing officer, a newly created position. A former executive with The Walt Disney Co, Viacom, Discovery Communications and other companies, he most recently served as a consultant.

OVATION TV

Arts network Ovation TV in Santa Monica, Calif., has elevated Lori Hall to vice president, program planning, scheduling and acquisitions. She had been VP, program scheduling.

SIMULMEDIA

Ad-technology firm Simulmedia has added Matt Arkin as senior vice president, sales, a new San Francisco-based post. He comes from YuMe, where he was senior VP, programmatic solutions.
